When you start planning a girls trip, what do you normally come up with? Spa? Shopping? My girl friends and I decided to do a wine tour in
Naramata Bench, Penticton. This
is a well known area for wines. It was relaxing, easy going and gave us lots of time to catch up.
We used the passport map from the Naramata Bench Wineries Association to make our way around the area. In total, we visited more than 20 wineries, including some cideries and distilleries. It was a passport in the sense that could collect stamps at each winery to enter to win a trip back there.
Each winery had it's own look, feel, atmosphere and decor.

We stayed in a Band B owned by a German couple. Breakfast consisted of homemade German bread and pastries, meats, great coffee, homemade jams, and pure apple juice. The accommodation had a great setting with a vineyard next door and a view towards Okanagan Lake.
If you're into wines, I highly recommend a trip to the Okanagan!
