This is what Robert Herjavec says on an interview on Q TV in Toronto. I wish everyone thought this, it would make work a lot easier !
"To be successful, you gotta work hard, and you gotta do a million other things. But working hard isn't going to guarantee you're gonna be successful. But if you don't work hard, it's a guaranteed that you won't be successful."

And Robert's perspective on luck:
Q: Do you have to be lucky?
A: Absolutely! So What is luck? Is it something that just hits you and walks you through the door, or is luck a door that's open that you have to walk through? The harder I work, the luckier I get. Every one of us, everyday, is presented with an opportunity. If take that opportunity, people say that we're lucky; if we don't, then we say that we never had any opportunities.
